As the orchestra of the Symphonies d’Automne festival, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mâcon accompanies some marvelously talented young voices every year at the finals of the Concours International de Chant Lyrique de Mâcon.
A unique training program in Saône-et-Loire
Founded in 1989 by Jean Fonta, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mâcon already boasts a rich history and strong local roots. Every year, it features in the artistic program of the Théâtre, scène nationale de Mâcon.
He has performed at the festivals Les Grandes Heures de Cluny and Musiques au présent, at the Amis de l’orgue de Tournus season, at the Auditorium de Lyon, at the Forces Motrices in Geneva, at the Théâtre de Vevey, etc., and has accompanied artists such as Adélaïde Ferrière, Marie-Annick Nicolas, Roger Muraro, Guy Touvron, Marie Vermeulin, Jane Birkin…
