Proposed by Sylvie Valayre, president of the competition’s jury, this master class is aimed at experienced opera singers wishing to strengthen their vocal technique and work on their next roles or auditions. They learn the melody, lieder and opera repertoires, acquiring the freedom, ease and technical skills that are fundamental to opera singing.
Sylvie Valayre is a renowned French soprano, renowned for her powerful, nuanced interpretations of the dramatic lyrical repertoire. Trained at the Paris Conservatoire, she quickly established herself on the greatest international stages, from the Paris Opéra to the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Specializing in roles by Verdi, Puccini and the verismo repertoire, Valayre is acclaimed for her intense stage presence and expressive timbre. In addition to her singing career, she is also a teacher and vocal coach, sharing her passion and expertise with the new generation of opera artists.
