Registrations
Who can register?
Young singers from all over the world, under the age of 35 (born after January 1, 1989).
When should you register?
From March 15 to midnight on September 10, 2024.
How do I register?
Please fill in this form.
What documents do I need?
– The completed registration form
– Photocopy of ID
– A detailed CV
– A short written presentation of about 5 lines
– A professional photo for communication on networks and the room program
– letters of recommendation (optional)
– At least one video recording (via youtube link or website)
– Proof of payment of the 60-euro registration fee
– Bank details
If the compulsory melody is published, the candidate must purchase it.

Selection – on file and videos
Candidates selected by the selection committee will be informed of their eligibility by October 1 at the latest.
Rehearsal with the pianists accompanying the competition
Rehearsals with accompanying pianists will take place at the Conservatoire:
- for quarter-finals (20 min per candidate): Monday, November 11, 2024
- for the semi-final (20 min per candidate): Wednesday, November 13, 2024
A draw is organized for the rehearsal times, and also for the order in which the candidates will perform. Candidates may not request changes to rehearsal or performance schedules.
Finale – with the Orchestre Symphonique de Mâcon
After orchestral rehearsals on November 15 and 16, the final rounds will take place on Sunday November 17, 2024 at 4pm at Le Théâtre, scène nationale de Mâcon.
During the finals, to be held on Sunday November 17, 2024 at the Théâtre, scène nationale de Mâcon, each candidate will perform, accompanied by the Orchestre Symphonique de Mâcon, two opera arias chosen from the pre-established list: list of arias for the finals.
In addition, two finalists chosen by the jury in the semi-final will perform the compulsory French melodies. One of them will be awarded the special prize for French melody.
Works must be performed without scores.
Prizes and awards
The prizes represent a total value of 16,000 euros in prizes and cost-sharing for the finalists, distributed as follows:
– 1st prize: 5,000 euros
– 2nd prize: 3,000 euros
– 3rd prize: 2,000 euros
– Special prize for compulsory French melody: 3,000 euros
– Audience prize: 1,000 euros
– Orchestra Prize: 1,000 euros
– Lycée Lamartine students’ prize
The competition jury is made up of professional singers, directors of opera houses or productions, conductors, orchestra directors or administrators, artistic agents, composers and/or journalists specializing in opera.
Contracts of engagement may be offered to candidates, prize-winners or not, to take part in the Symphonies d’automne (2025 or subsequent editions), in other productions in association with the Orchestre Symphonique de Mâcon, or in association with other partner structures.
Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the jury.
The jury also reserves the right not to award one or more prizes.
Candidates selected for the final will receive a 250-euro expense allowance.
