Presented by Béatrice Uria-Monzon, mezzo-soprano and president of the competition jury, this master class is aimed at experienced opera singers wishing to strengthen their vocal technique and work on their next roles or auditions. They learn the melody, lieder and opera repertoires, acquiring the freedom, ease and technical skills that are fundamental to opera singing.
Béatrice Uria-Monzon is a French mezzo-soprano internationally recognized for her powerful, expressive voice and her talent as an interpreter of a wide operatic repertoire. She has been acclaimed for her interpretations of major roles in French, Italian and German operas. Her most famous roles include Carmen in Georges Bizet’s opera of the same name, Dalila in Samson et Dalila by Camille Saint-Saëns, and Charlotte in Werther by Jules Massenet. Her exceptional talent and captivating stage presence have made her one of the most sought-after mezzo-sopranos of her generation.
